A three-day training equipping young people in Marsabit County with mental health and substance use knowledge to share with their peers.

Program Overview
U-MATTER Kenya Organization is conducting a three-day training in Marsabit County designed to equip 50 young people with practical knowledge and skills around mental health and substance use disorders. Through professional facilitation, interactive learning, group discussions and practical sessions, selected participants will gain skills they can share with peers and communities — creating a wider ripple effect of awareness, support and positive action.

The programme will bring together 50 young people, with 10 participants drawn from each of five locations. The training is designed not only as a one-time awareness activity, but to equip selected young people with knowledge and skills that they can share with their peers and communities — creating a wider ripple effect of awareness, support and positive action.

This programme is being implemented by U-MATTER Kenya Organization, with support from partners including REPAL and the County Government – Department of Youth Affairs & Sports.
REPAL previously supported U-MATTER Kenya with a whiteboard, 10 marker pens and a duster. These materials will be utilized during the training sessions.
