Advocates are trained community ambassadors who carry U-MATTER's wellbeing, peacebuilding and youth empowerment work into schools, campuses and neighbourhoods across Kenya.

Review & Acceptance
We review applications and notify successful applicants.

Training
Attend the U-MATTER Advocate training program.

Certification Payment
A certification fee is paid after training — not at application.

Certificate Issuance
Receive your Advocate certification and join our deployment roster.
Training
Structured cohort training covering wellbeing, safeguarding, peer support, peacebuilding and community engagement.
Certification
Upon completion, Advocates receive U-MATTER certification. A modest certification fee applies — payable after training, not at application.
Deployment
Advocates serve in schools, campuses, communities, research projects and ANCHOR promotion across Kenya.
Requirements
Who we look for
- Aged 18+ (younger applicants considered with guardian consent)
- Passion for community wellbeing and youth empowerment
- Willingness to complete the training program
- Commitment to U-MATTER's safeguarding and ethics
- Ability to dedicate time monthly for outreach activities
- Open to one or more areas of deployment
Advocate Application
No payment is required at this stage. Certification fees apply only after training.
